Dr. Sujata Chakravarty is a Senior Member of IEEE, Chair, Technical Activities, Ex-Chair Women in Engineering of IEEE Bhubaneswar Sub-section. She holds membership in different academic bodies like OITS, ISTE, Orissa Bigyan Academy, Institution of Engineers etc.She has been a member of the Academic Council and Board of studies of different Universities/Institutions and also a Governing Body Member of Regional College of Management, Bhubaneswar. There are about 120Publications, Eight Patents published, one Patent granted, one Book and 25 book chapters to her credit. Recently three of her articles have been recognized by World Health Organization (WHO) and are being listed on the WHO website. Currently, she is working as Professor, Department of Computer Science & Engineering, and Head, Data Science & Machine Learning Research Centre, Centurion University of Technology & Management, Odisha, India. Under her guidance about 20 MTech and three PhD scholar got awarded. One has submitted the thesis. Currentlyten PhD scholars are working in different areas like Financial Engineering, Bio-medical Data Science, Smart Agriculture, Intrusion Detection, Image Processing, Hyperspectral and Multispectral Image Processing and Medical Information Security under her guidance. She is a reviewer of many Elsevier journals like Neurocomputing, Knowledge-Based Systems, Swarm and Evolutionary Computation, Econometrics and Statistics, Karbala International Journal of Modern Science etc., International Journal of Bio-Inspired Computation, Inderscience, International Journal of Intelligent and Fuzzy Systems and IEEE and Springer Conferences.She has chaired several technical sessions in different International, IEEE, Springer conferences / FDPs / Seminars. She has also delivered talks in many reputed Institutions. She has been awarded Jhansi Rani Laxmibai Prativa Puraskar for Technical Education and Research on 8th March 2018. She has also received Abdul Kalam Chair Professor Award on 5th September 2021 in Provost Research Conclave.
