Dr. Nuzaiba P.M.

Dr. Nuzaiba P.M. is specialized in Fish Physiology and Biochemistry; she completed her postgraduate programs (M.F.Sc. and Ph.D.) from Fish Nutrition, Biochemistry and Physiology Division of ICAR-Central Institute of Fisheries Education, Mumbai. She has a bachelor’s degree in Fisheries Science (B.F.Sc.) from Tamil Nadu Fisheries University, Nagapattinam, Tamil Nadu. Dr. Nuzaiba has worked as a research associate in a World Bank-funded National Agricultural Higher Education Project and as Senior Research Fellow in CRP-Nanotechnology. Her entire research career was based on the issues of replacing fish meals with plant protein ingredients and possible strategies to tackle them using different nutraceuticals. During her academic and research journey, she availed National Talent scholarship, Junior Research Fellowship, and qualified ASRB-NET in both ‘Fish Nutrition’ and ‘Animal Biochemistry’. She has also generated useful data for genebank and published articles in peer-reviewed international journals, which enabled her to secure awards from various national and international bodies.
