Mapathon winner 2020 and 2021

Mapathon is map making competition for a specific problem statement. This event was organised jointly by IIT Bombay, AICTE and ISRO, to produce maps using Indian remote sensing data. The primary objective was to understand the potential of Indian remote sensing data and make maps for Indian regions using free open-source mapping software (QGIS). The Team participated and worked in a crowd sourcing method for jointly producing thematic maps of India using Indian remote sensing data.

Two of my project team (The Ekyam-MAPATHON2782, The Centurions-MAPATHON2778) declared as winners IITB- ISRO- AICTE MAPTHON competition.

Total no of participation was 10000 out of which 678 participants were selected.

We are in 41 rank (Dr.Prafulla Ku Panda ,Pratush Ku Behera and Ananya Nayak- with the theme of  Health infra, population, age group etc. for Vaccination.) and 235 rank(Dr.Prafulla Ku Panda,Sridhar Ku Panda and SaisoumyaSubhnakra)-  with the theme of Road Network / Drainage Maps.

 

Three of our project team (Mapathon1156, Mapathon0012 and Mapathon1693) declared as winnersIITB- ISRO- AICTE MAPATHONcompetition 2022.

 

Total no of participation was 4666 out of which 372 participants were selected for the final round.

This time 4 teams from CUTM participated under mentorship of Dr.Prafulla Kumar Panda and Prof.SovanSankalp and 3 teams qualified for the final round.

We are in 9th rank (Team Centurion Mapathon1156:Dr.Prafulla Ku Panda, SovanSankalp, PreetiPattanik and Soumyadip Pal- with the theme of Flood Maps)

119 rank (Mapathon0012:Dr.Prafulla Ku Panda, Arvind Kumar, Pradeep Kumar and Digamber Ray- with the theme of Road Network / Drainage Maps).

181 rank (Mapathon1693:Dr.Prafulla Ku Panda, SovanSankalp, AvijeettRaj ,Alok Kumar and SuhailaGhulmi–with the theme of Unemployment Map)
