This course introduces basic principles and techniques of beekeeping,This course is divided into four modules namely

  • History, importance, types, life cycle and behavior of honeybees
  • Bee hives, beekeeping tools, seasonal management of honeybees
  • Natural enemies of honeybees and their management
  • Economical benefit of beekeeping

Course Objectives:

The objectives of this subject are:

  • To provide hands on training on beekeeping
  • To encourage entrepreneurship among farmers
  • Linking Beekeeping with crop improvement practice
  • He/She can establish a Apiculture farm in their limited set up of available land.
  • He/She will able to be an Agri-Entrepreneur.
